Ms. Masumi’s experience has been a tremendous asset to the firm’s clients. She has been exclusively practicing immigration law for over decade, handling nearly every type of immigration matter for hundreds of clients. She has extensive experience in removal defense, appearing in over 20 different immigration courts throughout the United States for clients from all over the world. She has won numerous complex cases for her clients, including asylum, withholding of removal and convention against torture, cancellation of removal for lawful permanent residents, non-permanent residents, and VAWA applicants, fraud waivers, and adjustment of status. She has also been able to persuasively argue for the termination of removal proceedings for her clients who were wrongfully charged as removable from the United States, especially in the context of criminal grounds of removability.
She has also successfully represented hundreds of clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in naturalization, adjustment of status, VAWA, waiver, U visa, family-based immigrant visas, employment-based immigrant visas, H-1B visas, and other employment non-immigrant visas, including P-1 visas.
Ms. Masumi graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where she obtained her JD. She obtained her BA in Government and International Relations from George Mason University. In addition to practicing before the various immigration agencies and courts, Ms. Masumi is admitted to practice law in the State of Maryland, as well as before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.
