Prior to joining Johnson and Masumi PC, Ms. Jones began her immigration legal career in Elizabeth, New Jersey where she developed the asylum practice for a non-profit organization. While in New Jersey Ms. Jones volunteered her time to help low income immigrants through her volunteer work with the Immigration Justice Campaign.
Upon relocating to Alexandria, Virginia she continued to pursue her same passion for immigration law by advocating for low income immigrants.
Ms. Jones has defended the rights of detained and non-detained clients. She has successfully handled matters related to Asylum, Adjustment of Status, Bond, Cancellation of Removal, DACA, Family Based Petitions, Provisional Unlawful Presence Waivers, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, and more.
Ms. Jones earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh in 2008. She has obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh in 2014.
Ms. Jones is a member of the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association (AILA). She is permitted to practice immigration law nationwide and is licensed in the District of Columbia and Alabama.
